History: Sozra Jewlery & Music

John & Debby Sosnowsky

John and Debby have been making designing and handcrafting jewelry & music together full time for 28 years. They met at Towson State University in the Art department. John's concentration was in Photography and Debby's was in fabric design and weaving. Shortly after they were married, they decided to combine their talents to create a business. During this time, Debby was designing and hand-crafting children's clothes (Jessica, their daughter, being her #1 model and inspiration) and John was a commercial photographer shooting advertisements for various jewelry stores. Through his enchanting photographs and the diversity allowed in metalsmithing, they both were attracted to the endless possibilities of the world of jewelry. John's music took a back seat till 1989 when his first CD Canvas of the Mind was released.

Through out the last 28 years, they have created, designed, and developed techniques unique to their individual styles. Their jewelry together harmonizes with similar thoughts as if they were created by one individual. Sometimes it is hard to differentiate John's pieces from Debby's because they work together to create a unique style as one team on a quest in creative balance.
